IT’S TIME TO WEED OUT CLOSETS AND MAKE ROOM FOR SUMMER CLOTHING AND ACTIVITIES. By Sharon Huddleson
Kids grow like weeds, so it’s a great time to wash the clothing they can’t use anymore, and prepare to make a donation to the Douglas/Elbert Task Force.
Include gently worn shoes and boots, books, and games. (We are not accepting winter clothing at this time.)
Have you lost interest in a hobby, collection or sport? Perhaps your children have outgrown their sports and activities equipment–another family will welcome these items. Yes, someone else would LOVE to have your stuff!
Think about recycling your gardening supplies and pots, as well as outdoor furniture. Please remember that your donations must be in saleable condition. We aren’t able to repair or refurbish items. If you wouldn’t buy the items you’re considering for donations in a thrift store, we probably wouldn’t put them in Treasures on Park Street.
Donations may be made to Douglas/Elbert Task Force from Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday, 9 am to 3 pm, to Back Door K (north side of the building). You will receive a donation receipt, as well as a discount slip for future purchases at TREASURES, and our gratitude!
