Volunteers of America RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program) hosted its annual Volunteer Recognition event on Monday, Oct 28, 2013 at the Heritage Club Tech Center. The Volunteer Recognition event recognized several RSVP volunteers for their years of service and dedication to the community. A special award was given to the Douglas/Elbert Task Force for their commitment to the RSVP Program through placing over 100 RSVP volunteers and having over 18,000 volunteer hours in one year. The Douglas/Elbert Task Force is dedicated to providing assistance to people in Douglas and Elbert County who are in serious economic need, at risk of homelessness, or in a similar crisis.
